Charge: determine necessary search indexes (title, author, etc.) and MARC data to include in each; create appropriate relevance ranking strategies for each search index for review by User Interface Task Group; create thresholds for spell correction/did you mean, and words for stopwords list for review by User Interface Task Group; work with facets for browsing and the data elements to create them (including LC, NLM, Dewey, and SuDoc classifications) for review by User Interface Task Group; create method to identify duplicate OCLC records (to assist in rolling up on the results page); assist each institution in determining how to export MARC data and item information from the ILS; recommend any appropriate data cleanup projects to improve facet functionality; test. |
