October 24 - 28, 2011

The TRLN Management Academy is an experiential learning program that is unique in its focus on preparing mid-level library managers to manage complex and diverse resources. In a time of increased demand for accountability and sound management of staff, budgets, and technology, the Academy is a developmental opportunity that you cannot afford to miss.

What previous participants have said about the TRLN Management Academy:

"The Academy addressed many of the issues that I deal with on a daily basis. The communication skills were invaluable."

"By Thursday afternoon I had a clear picture of what’s expected of a good manager, and I leave here much more comfortable assuming that role and responsibilities."

"The best management training I’ve ever had."

"I think the Academy was just about perfect."

"The Academy did an excellent job of focusing on topics relevant to managers. What was especially helpful was hearing these techniques from voices outside the library."

"It did a great job addressing the specific needs of middle managers. The challenge now is to retain my enthusiasm in the midst of day-to-day work I really think that these tools will help a lot."

"All of the information was very relevant. I really appreciated the fact that you covered topics from a number of different perspectives – the business view, the financial view, the directors’ views, human resources, etc."
