TRLN: Beyond Print Steering Committee
The Steering Committee will provide oversight of the Beyond Print Task Group,
provide opportunities for broad involvement of library staff, review data
analysis, work with Judy Luther, and monitor related efforts and projects of
other academic libraries and consortia.

TRLN: Beyond Print Task Group
The Task Group reports to the Beyond Print Steering Committee and is charged to
collect and analyze the following:1. Yankee Book Peddler approval plan data
to determine:
- subject areas where member libraries have purposely duplicated print
purchases, since these may be ideal candidates for applying a price multiplier
for e-books
- overlap in print purchasing by publisher to identify potential publisher
or vendor partners
- subject areas unique to individual campuses, to sample for consortial
demand
2. TRLN interlibrary loan and circulation data as indicators of the amount of
consortial demand for unique purchases
3. TRLN e-book acquisitions data to determine:
- the scope of current duplication of e-book purchases
- e-book usage data for the four institutions
4. E-book vendor and publisher title lists to determine the potential number
of print purchases that could be made in e-only
5. Existing e-book business models and licensing terms to identify those that
prevent or complicate sharing or are unsustainable for our budgets
