The Staff Development Committee will provide updates and reports to the Human Resources Council. The chair of this committee is a member of that Council.

Charge: The committee is responsible for the ongoing Staff Enrichment Series, as well as for gathering information on staff development needs. Committee members have the responsibility to communicate and consult with staff at all of the libraries at their institution to identify and recommend joint training programs  where inter-institutional collaboration adds value. TRLN central staff provide assistance for the logistics and facilities for these events. The committee is responsible for other development activities referred to it by the Human Resources Council.

The Staff Enrichment Series consists of two programs per year targeted for an audience of library support staff. These programs provide an opportunity for staff to learn about areas of current interest and importance to academic libraries. TRLN staff provide logistical support for these events.
