[3] COLLECTIONS COUNCIL
WEBSITE REDESIGN
With the creation of new TRLN Councils -- including Services, Technology,
and Human Resources -- TRLN is redesigning council websites to enhance
communication across the consortium. We hope the redesign better conveys the
current activity and goals of the councils. See:
http://www.trln.org/committee/CollectionCouncil/index.htm.
[4] CURRENT LIST OF TRLN LICENSES
Please see
http://www.trln.org/eresource/private/LicenseRenewalTimelineTable08-09.pdf
for a list of all TRLN licensed products, including the participating members
and dates of renewal. All areas of the ERC's website are IP protected to the
TRLN institutions.
[5] NEW WEBSITE LISTS
TRIAL E-RESOURCES IN TRLN
The ERC is compiling a list of electronic resources currently under trial on
the TRLN campuses. By maintaining current information on trials in one central
location on the TRLN website, the Collections Council and ERC hope to increase
awareness and informal communication among subject selectors across campuses
regarding e-resources under consideration. The new website is IP protected to
the TRLN institutions, and will list the names of products and contact
information on the individual campuses. We are asking TRLN acquisitions
departments and/or collection managers to alert TRLN when you set up a new trial
database, with the name of the product, the length of the trial, and a campus
contact person. See
http://www.trln.org/eresource/private/erctrials.htm.
[6] NEW LISTSERVS FOR
COLLECTIONS INTEREST GROUPS
TRLN has created two new listservs: one for librarians with an interest in
Science, Technology and Medicine --
trln-stm-ig@listserv.unc.edu,
and the other for Special Collections --
trln-specialcollections-ig@listserv.unc.edu. If you are not yet subscribed
to these groups and wish to be, please contact Judy Ruttenberg at
judy@trln.org.
TRLN has supported meetings of interest groups including AV and Government
Documents. Please contact judy@trln.org if
you wish to see any other listservs established for these or other consortia
interest groups.
[7] CURRENT
