Overdue fines:

• Minimum daily fine - 25¢ per day per item.
• Maximum fine - $10 per item.
• Replacement fees - $100 per book, plus $25 processing fee.

Overdue policy: The library is NOT obligated to send overdue notices but does so as a reminder. Materials listed on the notices are by the due date.

Replacement policy: Patrons borrowing books will be held responsible and fined for their loss and/or any damages. Books are automatically declared lost 21 days past due date. Materials returned after being declared lost will be assessed maximum overdue fines.

Recalls: Books are subject to recall. Reserve requests are recalled immediately. 

Renewals: Books may be renewed if not on hold or reserve. Call the Circulation Department for telephone renewal. A patron renewing an overdue book will still be charged and held responsible for the overdue fee.

Returning books: All books should be returned to the inside book drop at the Shepard Circulation Desk. when closed, return all books to the book drops at the main entrance. These book drops are emptied daily. The returning of books to the wrong location can create an overdue fine for which the patron will still be accountable.
