Research Data Interest Group Opportunities

Join the TRLN Research Data Interest Group
The TRLN Research Data Interest Group (TRLN DIG) invites library staff within TRLN member institutions to join TRLN DIG. Members of TRLN DIG provide support for research data management and use within our individual institutions and facilitate opportunities for TRLN members interested in research data to connect with resources and each other. Current and past initiatives of the group include:

• Developing a Tips and Tools for the Data Lifecycle workshop
• Launching a TRLN Data Blog
• Managing a Google group for North Carolina librarians and library staff who work with data (NCDIG)
• Organizing informal “TRLN Research Data Lunch Chats” where research data professionals come together to talk about experiences, challenges, and opportunities.

If you are interested in joining TRLN DIG and actively contributing to the planning and implementation of future group activities, please send a short statement of interest to lorin.bruckner@unc.edu by November 26, 2018.

Attend the Next Research Data Lunch Chat!
Like research data but don’t want/have time to join another group? Attend the next monthly “Research Data Lunch Chat” for casual conversation with others interested in research data.

The lunch will take place on December 7th from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Page Road Grill, 5416 Page Road, Durham, NC 27703 (note lunch costs are the responsibility of attendees). Please RSVP using this form by December 3rd.
