Blacklight Summit

The Triangle Research Libraries Network (TRLN) will host Blacklight Summit 2019 at Duke University Libraries, Wednesday, October 9, 2019, 8:30 a.m. – Friday, October 11, 2019, 12:00 noon.

Please join us at Duke University in Durham, NC for demonstrations of Blacklight applications, sessions about enhancing Blacklight applications, and ample time for community engagement, code exchange, and development.

Registration

Registration is closed.

There is no registration fee. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, lodging, and meals (with a couple of exceptions).

If you are an employee of a TRLN member library (Duke, NCCU, NCSU, or UNC) please contact your supervisor about attending before registering.

Venue

The Summit will be held at Duke University in Bostock Library on West Campus, Rooms: Edge Workshop Room (Bostock, first floor), Bostock 024 (lower level 1), and Bostock 039 (lower level 1). Parking

The nearest parking garage is Parking Garage IV (Bryan Center Parking Garage). The rate is $2.00/hour with a $12.00 daily maximum. More parking options and information can be found here: https://parking.duke.edu/visitor

Hotel

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Residence Inn Durham McPherson/Duke University Medical Center Area (1108 West Main St., Durham, NC, 27701)  for $159 per night. The last day to make a reservation at the group rate is Sept. 20, 2019. This hotel is convenient to downtown Durham as well as to transportation to campus.

Transportation

The nearest airport is Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), which is about 15 miles from the meeting venue and hotel.

Between Meeting Venue and Hotel

The Bull City Connector is a free Durham bus line that connects downtown Durham and Duke University. The bus picks up in front of the hotel and drops off within walking distance of Bostock Library (https://godurhamtransit.org/maps-schedules/godurham/bcc). Campus bus service from Duke’s East Campus (within walking distance of the hotel) to West Campus (Blacklight Summit venue) is also available (https://parking.duke.edu/buses/c1-east-west).

Between RDU Airport and Durham
